It is so good to be with our family in Red Wing!
We spend the day catching up on things and seeing Jonas play flag football on Saturday. Then went to Bay Point Park on the Mississippi and saw the biggest pumpkins on earth.
Torie found the Chevy on the Levy so got a special treat!
Sunday was a beautiful day for a walk in the park. We also got to see a great Viking game where Brett was able to win the game in the final seconds!
Monday we visited the pretty historic homes and downtown Red Wing area. In the 19th century it was a boom town with all kinds of things going on. In 1874 Red Wing had more tons of wheat shipped than any other port in the world!
It was also one of the nations largest producers of pottery because of the great clay resource along the banks of the Mississippi River. It was a great advantage to live on the river in those days since that was the primary mode of transportation.
On Tuesday we spent the day in St Paul at the Mall of America and it was unbelievable the size of that mall.
Linda loved the shopping!
We had a wonderful time and it was sad to say goodbye to the Harts.
